About The Role This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial accounting and statutory reporting of the Polish production entity and other Woodward entities across multiple jurisdictions, in line with Polish Accounting Act (UoR), IFRS, and applicable local GAAPs. The position combines hands-on accounting work with ownership of period-end closing, financial reporting, and statutory compliance, as well as coordination with external auditors and advisors. The role supports the preparation of financial statements under different reporting frameworks and ensures consistency between local statutory books and group reporting (US GAAP). The role also acts as a trusted finance partner to internal stakeholders and provides guidance to junior team members in an international environment. What You Will Do Ensure compliance with Polish Accounting Act (UoR), IFRS, and relevant local statutory reporting requirements, as well as internal controls and company policies Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) in line with statutory and group reporting requirements Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments Ensure proper alignment between local statutory books and group reporting, including identification and explanation of key differences Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and disclosures, including notes and supporting documentation Cooperate with external auditors and support statutory and group audits Participate in compliance processes related to evolving regulatory requirements, including sustainability reporting (e.g. CSRD), global tax frameworks (e.g. Pillar Two), and other statutory reporting obligations such as statistical reporting Support regulatory reporting and ensure timely and accurate submission of required filings Maintain awareness of VAT and corporate income tax impacts on financial reporting, coordinating with tax teams and external advisors where needed Act as a business partner to Finance and non-Finance stakeholders, supporting operational and reporting needs Supervise and mentor junior team members, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of accounting activities What You Will Need Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial data and reporting Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to cooperate effectively with internal stakeholders and external advisors Solid understanding of financial accounting and statutory reporting requirements (UoR, IFRS, Local GAAPs) in an international environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on and pragmatic approach Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a dynamic environment Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools (ERP systems, reporting platforms, spreadsheets) Readiness to work in a transition environment, including taking over processes and driving improvements Readiness to work in the context of ERP implementation projects, in particular SAP S/4HANA Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an advantage Several years of experience in accounting and financial reporting within an international or shared services environment Experience in cooperation with external auditors Very good command of English & Polish; additional European languages are a plus What You Will Gain Salary range from 12 500 to 19 500 PLN gross – depending on experience Advancement opportunities in international team A total rewards package, that includes: private health insurance, life & accidental insurance Multisport package Meal Vouchers Company performance bonus program Work-life balance, semi-flexible working time PPK: Woodward offers payment to your PPK account up to 4% of your compensation depending on seniority Hybrid work model Relocation & Educational support What does it mean to be part of Woodward?
