Position Details Continuing I Full Time Higher Education Officer Level 8 | $116,349- $128,806 pa | 17% Super View Position Description Location: Bedford Park / Kaurna Country About the Role: The Senior Research Development Officer (Health) plays a key role in this ambition by supporting researchers to develop high-quality, competitive funding proposals and identifying strategic opportunities that grow the University’s research performance. Working closely with academics, Colleges, Institutes, and research leadership, you will provide expert guidance across the full research development lifecycle, from opportunity identification and bid strategy through to proposal development and submission. This is a dynamic and collaborative role that sits at the heart of major research funding success in health and medical research. In this role, you will: Provide expert advice, editing support, and strategic guidance to help researchers develop competitive health and medical research funding proposals Identify and evaluate funding opportunities and contribute to strategies that grow research income, including MRFF and other major schemes Coordinate and support complex, multi-disciplinary research bid development processes in collaboration with internal stakeholders Contribute to the development of a proactive, structured approach to research opportunity identification, analysis, and strategic targeting About You You are a highly capable research development professional who thrives in fast-paced and collaborative environments. You bring strong experience supporting competitive research funding proposals and understand the health and medical research funding landscape. You are confident working with researchers to shape ideas into clear, compelling, and competitive submissions. To be successful, you will demonstrate: Experience supporting research funding proposals in a university or research environment Strong understanding of health and medical research funding schemes and competitiveness assessment High-level written communication skills, including proposal writing and editing Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in complex environments Candidates with Australian Work Rights are welcome to apply.
