About this role

Do you want to work on one of the most advanced telecom networks in the Netherlands? Ericsson is expanding its IP Security team in Maastricht and is looking for two experienced Senior Network Security Engineers.

The Role

As a Senior Network Security Engineer, you will be part of a diverse team working closely with IP and telecom experts to design and build secure, high-end network solutions.


Your key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing High-Level and Low-Level Designs and providing technical feedback.
  • Building and implementing IP network solutions based on these designs.
  • Testing changes in a dedicated test environment before production deployment.
  • Deploying changes through a strict change management process.
  • Analyzing and automating manual processes using tools such as Ansible, among others.


Your profile

You recognize yourself in the following profile:

  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Around 5–10 years of experience as an IP Network Engineer or Network Security Engineer.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, NSE4, CCSE/CCSA, and/or F5 BIG-IP.
  • Experience with network configuration management tools.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.


Nice to haves

  • Experience working with Ansible and Python.
  • Experience with setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
