About the role Join our team and play a key role in bringing the Peak resource to life. This is an opportunity to shape how we mine, contributing to safer, smarter, and more efficient outcomes across the operation. In this role, you’ll create thoughtful, high-quality mine designs and schedules, working closely with Technical Services and Operations to turn plans into action. Your work will have a real impact on performance, safety, and the way we operate day to day. Roster: 8/6 (Dayshift only) Location: Peak Mine - Cobar NSW Travel Options Residents enjoy a balanced roster and the opportunity to settle into the family-friendly township of Cobar. Relocation support is available, along with a residential allowance DIDO if you live within an 800km radius of the Mine site which includes a travel allowance FIFO from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne Key responsibilities Foster a high-performing team through mentoring, coaching, and development Promote a safe workplace by identifying hazards and driving improvements Review and optimise mine designs and supporting infrastructure Oversee weekly schedules to ensure safe and efficient extraction Deliver drill and blast designs, including stope notes and reconciliations Support budget planning and contribute to mine planning procedures Qualifications and experience Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) or equivalent Experience in a similar role / mining operation Strong knowledge of short to medium-term mine planning Understanding of longhole stoping drill and blast techniques Sound understanding of mining safety legislation and standards Excellent report writing and presentation skills Strong interpersonal, leadership, and business-focused skills Proficient in Deswik CAD, Deswik UGDB, and Deswik Sched Hold a current, unrestricted Driver’s Licence MAKE AN IMPACT, GET RECOGNISED – BE AN AURELIAN At Aurelia Metals, our people are at the heart of everything we do.
