Job Title: Safety Manager Location: Reno, Nevada (Multiple Reno-Area Job Sites) Start Date: ASAP Type: Direct Hire Compensation: 💰 Salary Range: $90,000 to $125,000 annually 🏆 Bonus: Generous discretionary bonus program (typically mid-year and end-of-year, performance-based) 🏡 Additional Incentive: Homeownership assistance program offering up to $20,000 down payment support Benefits: • Company vehicle and gas card • Relocation assistance up to $2,000 • Health, dental, and vision insurance • 401(k) with company match • Life insurance • Paid vacation • Reimbursement program for approved expenses Schedule: 🕒 Hours: Salaried exempt, expected 50 hours per week 📅 Schedule: Primarily Monday through Friday (field-based) ⏰ Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM typical; occasional 1:00 AM start for overnight pours 🌙 Occasional overnight concrete pours as required Scope of Role: This is a field-based Safety Manager position supporting commercial and industrial concrete construction projects throughout the Reno market. The role covers multiple active jobsites, including large-scale slab and data center construction projects. The Safety Manager works side-by-side with another Safety Manager and maintains a highly visible onsite presence with minimal office time. Established SOPs are already in place; the focus is on field execution, communication, and enforcement. Qualifications: ✅ OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 required with minimum 5 years of experience ✅ Bilingual English/Spanish required (mandatory) ✅ Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience ✅ Experience in commercial or industrial concrete construction preferred ✅ Preferred: 4-year degree and/or BCSP certification (minimum CHST strongly preferred) ✅ Strong communicator, not a "safety cop" approach Key Responsibilities: • Provide field safety oversight across multiple Reno-area concrete projects • Conduct daily site walks, audits, and routine safety inspections • Maintain visible presence with "eyes on crews" during active operations • Enforce established safety policies and issue write-ups when necessary • Support forming, finishing, tilt-up, cast-in-place, and high-performance slab operations • Ensure strong communication between superintendents and management to prevent safety gaps • Collaborate closely with fellow Safety Manager to maintain coverage and consistency Skills: • Exceptional communication skills with superintendents, managers, and craft workers • Ability to influence without confrontation • Strong field presence and credibility with crews • Proactive, solutions-oriented approach • Organized documentation and follow-through Knowledge Base: Solid understanding of OSHA construction standards, concrete construction safety practices, tilt-up operations, slab pours, and data center project environments.
