Job Description Safety and Security Officer-Material Handler Specialist- MMS Charlotte – Rock Hill, SC Schedule- Monday Through Friday 8AM to 4:30PM McKesson is seeking a dynamic and engaging leader for the role of Safety and Security Officer in our Rock Hill, SC Distribution Center. The Rock Hill, SC Distribution Center referred to as “MMS Charlotte” has been in operation since June 2015 and is one of the newest and largest DCs in the McKesson Medical-Surgical network, boasting a footprint of 300,080 sq. ft. with future capacity to expand another 173,000sq. ft. Our warehouse team will consist of 155+ team members to support the business. The MMS Charlotte DC is in Rock Hill, SC and is within 15 minutes of the city of Charlotte. The area has a balanced and diversified economy across unique settings, from rural to urban environments and everything in between. The area is family friendly with numerous attractions such as Carowinds Amusement Park, Lake Wylie and the new Carolinas Panthers training center currently under construction. Relocation assistance, in the form of a one-time grossed up lump sum is available for this position. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with Leadership to ensure building safety and security initiatives Operations Excellence Inspection – Preparing DC team members for annual inspections Monthly Safety Inspection Monthly Security Inspection Ensure Supervisors and Managers understand the S&S Portal and claim reporting Logging claims Ask 5 Why’s Follow-up Safety observations Maintain the integrity of the Power Industrial Training process, perform inspections and observations of current operators. Lead the Distribution Center Safety Committee Willing to assist the In- and Outbound trainers as needed Enforce building cleanliness as it pertains to safe practices Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to create process SOPs and observation notes Requires 3+ years of related experience. Critical skills: Critical thinking skills – root cause analysis (Ask 5 Why’s) Basic Math – add/subtract/multiply/divide Good Communication skills: Speak with team members to explain processes PC use – basic data entry, Excel, Word, Outlook All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
