We're partnering with a growing, well-respected homebuilder on a key Purchasing Specialist II opportunity supporting residential construction operations throughout the greater Charleston market.

This role is ideal for a purchasing, estimating, or construction professional who enjoys working closely with operations, trade partners, and vendors to ensure accurate budgets, timely starts, and efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and manage purchase orders for new home construction starts
• Review plans, scopes, budgets, and specifications to support accurate purchasing and estimating
• Process change orders, variances, and custom option requests
• Coordinate with Operations, Project Managers, and Accounting to resolve purchasing and cost-related issues
• Support vendor and trade partner relationships while maintaining cost, quality, and schedule objectives
• Assist with budget accuracy, value engineering initiatives, and process improvements
• Utilize homebuilding systems to manage purchasing activities and maintain data integrity

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in residential construction purchasing, estimating, procurement, or construction operations
• Ability to read blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications
• Understanding of residential construction materials, trades, and purchasing processes
• Experience working with vendors, subcontractors, and trade partners
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and homebuilding systems such as NEWSTAR, BuildPro, Hyphen, Mark Systems, or similar
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
