About the role As the Program Manager, you will oversee the Open House bail supported accommodation programs across both the Men’s and Women’s sites in Alice Springs. You will guide and support your team to deliver safe, high quality and person-centred services that help participants meet their bail conditions and move toward independence. This role calls for someone who understands the justice system and can work through a therapeutic and rehabilitation focused lens. You will create an environment that encourages growth, builds confidence and supports people to make meaningful change. The work is grounded in respect, compassion and the belief that every person has the capacity to move forward when given the right support. You will work closely with the Department of Corrections and other key partners and ensure that service delivery aligns with best practice, program guidelines and The Salvation Army’s mission and values. You will also build a culture where your team feels steady, encouraged and empowered to deliver their best work. This full-time permanent position is based in Alice Springs and pay is in accordance with SCHADS Level 7. How you will make an impact Lead and support staff to deliver high quality, client focused and responsive services Oversee day to day program operations across both Open House sites Monitor service delivery to ensure best practice and compliance with program guidelines Ensure case management documentation, records and data are accurate and aligned with TSA policy Maintain strong partnerships with the Department of Corrections and other stakeholders Monitor financial performance and ensure budgets are met Strengthen housing and accommodation pathways for participants Oversee reporting requirements and acquittals Promote a safe environment for clients, staff and visitors through strong risk management practices Contribute to a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement What you will bring Degree level qualifications in a relevant field Extensive experience in a leadership role within supported accommodation or a related service Knowledge and experience in the homelessness and mental health sectors A strong understanding of the justice system and the needs of people on bail The ability to lead with clarity, steadiness and compassion Experience working in complex environments and supporting teams through challenge and change Understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and the historical context of the Northern Territory A commitment to The Salvation Army’s mission, values and approach to working for justice A current NT driver’s licence Willingness to be on call, work outside standard hours when required and travel to regional NT What we offer Alongside meaningful work, we offer a range of benefits designed to support your wellbeing and career: SCHADS Level 7 salary – Above Award conditions (up to 10%) Remote Area Housing Benefit (up to $31,800 tax free) Entertainment Benefit (up to $2,650 tax free) Relocation assistance for eligible employees (up to $5,000) Work vehicle provided (including personal use) 12 weeks paid parental leave for primary carers Purchased Leave Scheme (up to 8 weeks per year) 5 days paid leave annually to experience working in other Salvation Army programs Flexible working arrangements Access to Employee Assistance Program and wellbeing initiatives Ongoing training and leadership development opportunities Most importantly, you will be part of an organisation committed to caring for people, building healthy communities, and working for justice How to apply If you are a steady, values driven leader who is passionate about creating safe, supportive and person-centred environments for people on bail, we would love to hear from you.
