About the Role Join a Series A fintech startup on a mission to help everyday consumers better manage their financial future. As a Product Engineer , you'll build features end-to-end that optimize taxes, bridge paychecks, and build credit — directly improving the financial wellbeing of a growing base of paying users. You'll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business leaders to ship high-impact work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. What You'll Do Build product features end-to-end, including domain models, business logic, and API integrations. Drive deployment and iteration through data-driven, incremental releases toward bold product milestones. Leverage robust data pipelines and analytics infrastructure — using SQL and other tools — to evaluate product and system performance. Debug complex state machines in an event-driven backend using pub/sub to ensure a seamless consumer experience. Ship to production daily via a rapid CI/CD process, owning implementations end-to-end and responding to production incidents as needed. What We're Looking For Required: Hands-on experience with Go (Golang) deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . Required: Direct consumer product experience — you've built products for end consumers, not exclusively B2B. Proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful APIs , including authentication/authorization patterns and rate limiting. Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL), including data modeling and query optimization. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines , version control, automated testing, and code review processes. Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub) for scalable data pipelines. Strong CS fundamentals. Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Startup experience preferred; open to candidates from larger tech companies with the right mindset. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $120,000 – $200,000 USD annually, depending on experience. Visa sponsorship is available. Location This is an on-site role based in San Francisco, CA . Candidates must be willing to work from the office.
