I’m currently supporting a leading semiconductor technology company in their search for a Principal RTL Design Engineer to join their growing engineering team in Edinburgh. Key Responsibilities Include RTL design and development using Verilog/SystemVerilog Development and integration of complex SoC and subsystem designs Working closely with architecture teams on next-generation silicon products Front-end design activities including synthesis, linting and CDC analysis Technical leadership across design activities and project delivery Collaboration with verification, software and system engineering teams Supporting best practice design methodologies and quality standards What We’re Looking For 8+ years’ experience in RTL Design, ASIC Design, Digital IC Design or SoC Development Strong Verilog and/or SystemVerilog RTL design experience Experience working on complex digital ASIC or SoC projects Knowledge of synthesis, lint and CDC methodologies Experience within semiconductor, ASIC, FPGA or IP development environments Strong communication and technical leadership skills Additional experience with protocols such as PCIe, AMBA, CXL, UCIe or other high-speed interfaces would be advantageous but is not essential.
