The Application Infrastructure Support Team (AIS) was founded in December 2021 and is currently undergoing an exciting transformation as we expand our scope into software development and developer tooling. We are responsible for backend applications on Linux and Windows Servers (ex. HAFAS, Jenkins, Artifactory, GitLab, etc.), with a strong focus on implementation, automation, and maintenance (3rd level support). Our strategic initiative is building an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) , which provides a unified, integrated developer experience layer that automates repetitive operational work and connects information, ownership, and services in one place. For this exciting journey, we are hiring highly skilled & motivated colleagues who would like to join the Application Infrastructure Support team in the role of IT System Software Engineer to keep our systems running smoothly, advance modernization as part of our IT strategy, and develop innovative tooling for our developer community. The purpose of the role is to: * Develop and maintain internal developer tools and automation solutions, primarily using Python * Ensure operational stability and modernization of backend applications and infrastructure * Design, build, and evolve our Internal Developer Platform (IDP) through software development and automation * Support internal project teams with consulting, provisioning, and technical solutions With a fleet of 313 modern container ships and a total transport capacity of 2.5 million TEU, Hapag-Lloyd is one of the world’s leading liner shipping companies.
