Compensation: $90,000–$120,000+ (flexible for the right individual) + bonus + relocation assistance available

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager / Fabrication Manager to lead operations at a growing steel and industrial fabrication facility located in Missouri.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity overseeing a busy custom fabrication operation supporting structural steel, miscellaneous metals, conveyors, crushers, mechanical equipment, and industrial projects across multiple markets. The facility specializes in complex, custom “one-off” fabrication work rather than commodity production.

The role is fully on-site and requires a strong operational leader capable of driving production, accountability, quality, and safety throughout the shop.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily fabrication plant operations and production scheduling
• Lead and manage approximately 40+ shop/trade personnel
• Coordinate manpower, workflow, and shop priorities
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule
• Maintain strong quality control and fabrication standards
• Drive accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work closely with engineering, estimating, and operations leadership
• Maintain a clean, organized, and productive facility environment
• Anticipate production bottlenecks and proactively solve operational issues

Ideal Background

• Experience leading operations within a structural steel or industrial fabrication facility
• Strong understanding of welding, fabrication, and shop operations
• Proven leadership experience managing shop personnel and schedules
• Experience with structural steel, miscellaneous metals, mechanical equipment, or heavy industrial fabrication preferred
• Ability to lead by example and operate in a fast-paced custom fabrication environment
• Strong safety and quality mindset
• Stable employment history and willingness to work on-site in Central Missouri
