About this role

Are you a passionate, energetic tennis coach ready to take the next step in your career? Elite Tennis Academy is looking for a full-time coach to join our team at Mornington Tennis Centre.

About the Venue

Located on a vibrant sporting precinct just five minutes from the beach, Mornington Tennis Centre is the largest European Clay Court facility in Victoria, with 12 ITF courts. The centre hosts a wide range of tournaments, UTR events, competitions, and coaching programs, making it a hub for player development across all levels.

About the Role

This is a full-time coaching position with a strong focus on developing emerging competition players.

You will play a key role in guiding players as they transition from club level tennis to tournament level tennis, into structured squad environments—teaching them how to:

• Develop court positioning and tactical awareness

• Build consistency and confidence under pressure

You will primarily lead performance squads (up to 12 players) and be actively involved in the delivery of match play sessions and tournaments, requiring a strong on-court presence, high energy, and clear communication style.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and structured squad coaching sessions

• Lead and assist in the delivery of match play and tournament programs

• Coach across a variety of programs including:

• Development Squads

• Hot Shots Grassroots Program

• Adult Coaching

• Private Lessons

• Plan and deliver effective lesson plans tailored to player progression

• Assist in tournament planning and player pathways for squad athletes

• Foster a positive, energetic, and professional coaching environment

• Build strong relationships with players and families

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 3 years coaching experience

• Proven ability to coach development-level players transitioning into tournament level players

• A loud, confident, and engaging on-court presence

• Ability to manage and energise groups of up to 12 players

• Highly energetic, outgoing, and professional personality

• Strong organisational skills and punctuality

• A genuine passion for player development and long-term growth

• Someone who sees tennis coaching as a career, not just a job

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $40.00 per hour + 12% superannuation = $44.80 per hour

• Leave entitlements: Annual leave and sick leave

• Uniform package supplied by Nike

• Equipment package supplied by Head

Position Start Date
