Job Description On behalf of our client, PRO-DENT Laboratory, The Warrington Group is recruiting for an Orthodontic Appliance Technician to join their team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As their laboratory continues to grow, they are seeking an Orthodontic Appliance Technician to join their specialized orthodontic team. The Opportunity: This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed technical work and takes pride in creating customized orthodontic appliances that help improve patient outcomes. Working alongside a skilled team of dental professionals and technicians, you will fabricate and repair a variety of orthodontic appliances while maintaining the highest standards of quality and precision. The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate has experience working in a dental laboratory, specifically within orthodontics, and is confident in working with wires, acrylics, and appliance fabrication. You take pride in precision work and are comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. You are reliable, detail-oriented, and enjoy being part of a collaborative team. Candidates with strong hands-on skills and a willingness to learn will also be considered. Responsibilities: Fabricate orthodontic appliances including retainers, bite planes and a variety of fixed removable and functional appliances Perform wire bending and soldering Work with both fixed and removable orthodontic appliances including hyrax and lingual arches, hawley and essix retainers and twin blocks Manipulate acrylic materials and assemble appliance components Follow detailed prescriptions and lab instructions Maintain quality control and ensure accuracy of finished products Collaborate with team members to meet production timelines Requirements Experience working in a dental laboratory environment, specifically orthodontics Hands-on experience with wire bending, soldering, acrylic application/finishing of fixed/removable appliances Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, production environment Strong communication, teamwork skills and the ability to work independently Reliable, organized, and able to take directions Benefits $25–$30 per hour, based on experience Full-time, 40 hours per week Overtime opportunities available Health benefits offered after probation Vacation: 2 weeks annually Relocation support available for the right candidate On-site role based in Halifax, Nova Scotia Why Join PRO-DENT Laboratory?
