Job Summary As an Operating Room Registered Nurse , you will: Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care in the operating room, gastroenterology lab, and other perioperative services. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure positive patient outcomes and the delivery of patient-family centered care. Provide direct and individualized nursing care, utilizing scientific principles and applying best practices to a wide range of health conditions. Participate in committee activities, surveys, and improvement initiatives to continuously enhance the quality of care. Adhere to the standards of the Texas Nurse Practice Act and maintain a professional, safe, and efficient work environment. Why Brownwood? Qualifications Education : Associate's Degree in Nursing (AD) required. Licenses/Certifications : Active Registered Nurse (RN) BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required before initiating patient contact. ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required within 90 days of hire. NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 90 days of hire. PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) required within 6 months of hire. Experience : No previous experience required; training will be provided. Skills and Abilities : Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to handle confidential patient information with integrity. Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
