Location: Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) Shift: Rotation (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Worker Type: Regular Exemption Status: Yes Job Summary: ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: • Join a great team of experienced Laborists and Nurse Midwives, co-managing with both residents and Nurse Midwives • Focus on giving inpatient care to pregnant women, managing labor and delivery on both an emergency and routine basis. • Flexible 8/24-hour in-house shifts per month • Staff of surgical Physician Assistants to assist with scheduled caesarians • Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre, PA averages 2,000 deliveries per year supported by a level III NICU. • Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA averages 900 deliveries per year supported by a level II NICU. • Competitive straight salary model plus recruitment incentives • Excellent benefits package, including Malpractice & Tail coverage • A 5% employer contribution to 401(k) plan • Relocation – two options to choose from • $4,500 for CME • Flexible schedule Job Duties: Interested in OBGYN Generalist opportunities also? ABOUT GEISINGER WYOMING VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER (GWV): GWV has been a part of the Geisinger family since opening as the NPW Medical Center in 1981. The professionals at GWV provide high-quality, coordinated, patient-centered care for residents of northeastern Pennsylvania and beyond. Located just outside of Wilkes-Barre, GWV is home to a Level II trauma center to provide care for the most seriously ill and injured patients, as well as services in more than 50 specialties and subspecialty areas. ABOUT GEISINGER MEDICAL CENTER (GCMC): GCMC has been a part of the Geisinger family since 2012. GCMC provides high-quality, coordinated, patient-centered care for residents throughout Lackawanna County and northeastern Pennsylvania. Located in Scranton, GCMC has the only Level II trauma center and electronic intensive care unit in Lackawanna County, providing care for the most seriously ill and injured patients. Beyond critical care, GCMC features the most advanced specialists coordinating care in areas including general surgery, cardiology, interventional radiology, gastroenterology, weight management, oncology, pulmonary care and orthopaedics.
