Nurse Manager (OR)

Job Title: Nurse Manager (OR) Location: Austin, Texas Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager to join our team as the leader of the Surgery Center/Pre-Admission Testing Clinic. As the Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department. This is a working manager role, where you will actively participate in unit activities/operations while overseeing the staffing assignments to ensure effective coverage. You will also be involved in personnel performance appraisals, process improvement activities, budget and inventory control, and staff and self-development. Responsibilities: Plan, direct, and control staffing assignments in accordance with objectives and policies to ensure effective coverage of the department. Oversee and perform personnel performance appraisals, including goal establishment for each employee. Participate in unit activities/operations. Observe the condition of facilities and take corrective action to solve existing or potential problems. Participate in process improvement activities. Act as a change agent through role modeling. Participate in budget and inventory control. Participate in staff and self-development. Qualifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. Registered Nurse licensure. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Two years of experience in the operating room (OR). One year of experience in a charge nurse position in the OR. Five to six years of overall experience with previous management experience. Additional Information: Compensation: Salary range up to $130,000 based on years of experience. Sign-On Bonus (SOB) and Relocation assistance are on a case-by-case basis, pending HR approval.
