This role ensures adherence to policies and procedures, maintains safe staffing levels, manages supplies and equipment, and facilitates efficient patient throughput. Additionally, the Unit Director is responsible for promoting ongoing quality improvement, ensuring staff competency, and fostering professional growth and development among team members. Effective communication with the unit Director and the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) is essential. Key Responsibilities: Lead staff development initiatives and promote evidence-based clinical practice. Manage personnel resources and productivity to ensure optimal staffing levels. Implement strategies to enhance patient quality, safety, and performance improvement. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements. Provide leadership in the development and implementation of unit policies and procedures. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care outcomes. Maintain professional licensure and pursue ongoing professional development opportunities. Requirements Must-Haves: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field. Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications. Experience working in an ICU setting. Nice-To-Haves: 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting. Previous experience in a community hospital environment. Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
