NDT Quality Test Specialist Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Quality Specialist (Levels 2 or 3) to support the 787 Quality Team based out of North Charleston, South Carolina on 2nd shift. Position Responsibilities: Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment Performs ultrasonic A-scan and C-scans of 787 composite fuselage and supporting parts, assemblies and structure Documents, analyzes and communicates results and assists with corrective action recommendations Utilizes technical competencies to provide feedback on adverse trends Responsible for non-destructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company products Conducts on-the-job training (OJT) Adheres to Boeing policies, processes and major inspection methods procedures This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 1+ years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test) 1+ years of experience inspecting parts, components, assemblies, or units Willing to work variable shifts, including weekend and overtime Ability to pass near vision and color perception exams Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 3+years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test) 3+ years of experience inspecting parts, components, assemblies, or units Current or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2/3 in Ultrasonic Testing; must have documented evidence available for Boeing Level 3 review Experience analyzing & interpreting Ultrasonic C-scans. Experience running automated inspection equipment Certification in any other NDT method (ET, PT, MT, RT); must have documented evidence available for Boeing Level 3 review Able to work from heights up to 55 feet Experience inspecting composite material 3+ years of experience writing NDT procedures and techniques Understanding of Continuous Improvement methodologies Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
