Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Monitor Tech, you will be responsible for continuous observation and analysis of patients' cardiac rhythms to detect and report changes.Every day you will meticulously monitor EKG strips, identify arrhythmias, measure intervals, and promptly communicate critical findings to nursing staff and healthcare providers, ensuring accurate documentation.To be successful, you will demonstrate sharp observational skills, a thorough understanding of cardiac rhythms, and the ability to act quickly and precisely under pressure, crucial for patient safety and timely intervention. Monitors patient’s cardiac rhythms and/or oxygen saturation. Recognizes rhythms with the potential to alter the patient’s physiology and obtains a documentary ECG strip. Immediately reports all arrhythmias to the RN. Maintains current knowledge of the technical operation and capabilities of the central monitoring station. Maintains alarm systems and responds appropriately to monitor alarms. Handles incoming and outgoing communications, answers questions and assists staff. Schedule: Week 1 Sun 6am - 6:30pm, Mon 6pm - 6:30am; Week 2 Mon 6pm - 6:30am, Sat 6am - 6:30pm Student loan repayment program as well as relocation assistance offered!
