About The Role The Mine Control Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of the daily mine plan, leading shift activities and optimising operational performance. Working 7/7 rotating shifts, you will oversee real-time mine operations, monitor systems and reporting, and drive effective short interval control processes to maximise productivity. As part of the Mine Control Leadership Team, you will play a key role in fostering a high-performing, collaborative environment at Maules Creek Coal. This is a residential role, with a preference for candidates based in or willing to relocate to the Narrabri or Gunnedah regions of NSW. What You’ll Do Lead and supervise Mine Control and operational activities, ensuring alignment to the daily mine plan Optimise haulage performance by identifying improvement opportunities and driving real-time operational efficiencies Partner with Production Supervisors to support the execution and validation of production plans Provide clear, consistent direction aligned with site procedures and maximise the effective use of the Wenco FMS Develop and support the Mine Control team through training, coaching and implementation of structured training plans What You’ll Bring Extensive experience with Fleet Management Systems (FMS) in a Control Room, IROC or ROC environment Proven supervisory experience in a mining or operational setting Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think laterally across multiple systems High-level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across teams Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment Why Whitehaven Coal?
