Job Description We are seeking a Junior Metallurgist for a mine operation in the Northeast United States. The role focuses on quality assurance and process optimization across milling and lab operations, with responsibilities spanning data analysis, testing, and continuous improvement. Relocation assistance is available; sponsorship for work visas is not offered for this position. Location Northeast United States - within a few hours' drive of regional recreation and outdoor attractions. Responsibilities Manage quality assurance/quality control for the assay laboratory and mill operations Monitor the milling process to maintain or increase production Identify and troubleshoot issues in the production process Provide technical assistance to operators, millwrights, and laboratory technicians Run tests on new ore bodies and chemicals to optimize recoveries Maintain assay laboratory chemical inventory Design and supervise plant sampling surveys; analyze data and make recommendations based on engineering principles Compile daily metallurgical reports Maintain current knowledge of industry practices and technological developments Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety, environmental, confidentiality, and code of conduct Exercise discretion and judgment in job performance Other reasonable duties as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, or Chemical Engineering Understanding of mineral processing techniques such as flotation, gravity separation, and magnetic separation Proficient in interpreting data and performance metrics 3 years of hands-on experience Strong written and verbal communication in English, critical thinking, and data analysis skills Benefits Relocation assistance provided Eligibility for relocation support
