Rural Staffing Services is partnering with Columbia Basin Hospital to recruit an Inpatient Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner who will help deliver high-quality inpatient care while supporting continuity of care for patients across Central Washington. About Columbia Basin Hospital Columbia Basin Hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital located in Ephrata, Washington , serving patients throughout Grant County and the surrounding Columbia Basin region. The hospital provides a range of services including emergency care, inpatient services, swing bed care, and outpatient clinics. The Inpatient Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner plays a critical role in supporting patient care, coordinating care transitions, and ensuring that high-quality healthcare remains accessible close to home. This position partners closely with the care team to support both immediate patient needs and the long-term health of the hospital and community. The Opportunity Provide inpatient care in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital Manage admissions, daily rounding, and discharge coordination Support swing bed patients and care transitions Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery Participate in medical staff meetings and quality improvement initiatives Provide scheduled 24-hour coverage including in-house and on-call responsibilities Maintain or develop procedural skills including central lines, chest tubes, lumbar puncture, and intubation What You Will Bring Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Ability to build meaningful relationships across teams A thoughtful and solutions-oriented approach Commitment to patient-centered care Comfort practicing in a collaborative rural healthcare environment What We Are Looking For Active ARNP and RN licensure Board Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Adult-Gerontological Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) Unrestricted Washington State license , or ability to obtain Current BLS and ACLS certifications Experience managing acute, chronic, and critical conditions Comfort practicing in a rural or semi-rural environment Compensation and Benefits Highlights Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 depending on experience 7-on / 7-off schedule supporting strong work-life balance Competitive sign-on bonus Relocation assistance for qualified applicants Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employee and family Employer-matched retirement plan Life insurance and malpractice coverage Washington State medical license coverage A Place to Serve and Belong At Columbia Basin Hospital, this role is about more than inpatient coverage.
