Position Summary – Commercial HVAC Installation Manager The Commercial HVAC Installation Manager oversees all aspects of the Commercial Construction Division, ensuring alignment between estimating, sales, project management, and field installation teams. This role is responsible for: Commercial HVAC operations leadership Financial performance and budgeting Team management and workforce planning Quality assurance and safety compliance Contractor and vendor relationships Commercial HVAC project execution The ideal candidate is highly organized, financially driven, and experienced in managing commercial HVAC installation teams and mechanical construction operations . Key Responsibilities Operations & Project Oversight Oversee daily operations of the Commercial Construction Division Ensure commercial HVAC projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget Coordinate with sales, estimating, and installation teams to ensure project scope alignment Review project forecasts, labor budgets, revenue goals, and financial performance metrics Manage estimate-to-actual cost tracking and profitability goals Ensure proper execution of change orders and scope modifications Participate in weekly operational and construction meetings Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop field supervisors, foremen, and installation teams Conduct weekly 1:1 meetings with site leads and division personnel Develop and execute quarterly departmental objectives Support recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and employee development Oversee employee performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions when necessary Promote teamwork, accountability, and professional communication across departments Quality, Safety & Customer Relations Enforce company quality standards and installation procedures Maintain OSHA safety compliance and promote a strong safety culture Ensure proper tools, equipment, and jobsite readiness Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, vendors, and trade partners Support pre-construction meetings and project coordination efforts Promote professionalism and exceptional customer service standards Success Metrics Labor performance and gross profit percentage to budget Warranty expenses maintained below 1% Team engagement and retention performance Project completion timelines and operational efficiency Qualifications Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC or mechanical construction leadership preferred Proven experience in: Commercial HVAC installation management Construction operations management Mechanical construction leadership Strong leadership and team development skills Experience managing: Budgets Forecasting Labor planning Profitability metrics Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and construction processes Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and internal teams Commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and operational excellence Preferred Qualifications Experience managing large-scale commercial HVAC projects Experience leading multi-crew installation teams Knowledge of mechanical codes, project scheduling, and construction software Experience with ServiceTitan or similar field service management software is a plus Prior experience in HVAC service or commercial construction leadership roles OSHA 30, EPA Certification, or HVAC industry certifications are a plus Work Schedule Full-time position with schedule flexibility based on project and operational needs. Qualifications Education and Experience Requires a valid driver’s license. Requires a high school diploma and/or equivalent. A working knowledge of basic carpentry, gas piping, electricity and air flow are required. Must possess a working knowledge of local codes and general industry standards. Strong supervisory, communications, computer and mathematical skills are required. Minimum of 5+ years previous HVAC experience as Install Manager. Work Environment Frequently works in outside weather conditions. May be exposed to uncomfortable temperatures and/or conditions. Occasionally exposed to wet, snow, hot, and humid conditions. Subject to dark confined workspaces such as crawl spaces and attics. Office like work environment as well throughout the day. Physical Demands Light to heavy working conditions. Be comfortable with and physically able to safely help lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, stand for long periods of time, bend, crawl and kneel. Must be able to lift 100+ pounds at a time. Supervisory Responsibility Directly supervises employees in the Installation Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems . Travel Regular travel should be expected between Brennan Heating & Air Conditioning and job sites. Travel should be expected within any of the following counties: King, Snohomish, Pierce, Thurston, Kitsap, Mason, Jefferson and Island. Travel to be expected primarily during normal business hours.
