Change a Life Together - Houseparent Couples Wanted in New Mexico Do you and your spouse want work that actually matters? The New Mexico Boys & Girls Ranches is seeking compassionate, dependable married couples to become Houseparents / Associate Houseparents for youth in our residential program. This is more than a job. This is an opportunity to provide stability, structure, mentorship, and hope to kids who need positive role models the most. What We Offer Starting salary: $44,000–$48,000 per couple DOE Housing + paid utilities + meals Medical coverage & life insurance 4 weeks paid vacation Signing bonus Relocation assistance provided Organization vehicle use while working Housing typically includes: 2–3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms Living room & kitchen Up to 2 pets allowed with deposit Who We’re Looking For We are searching for couples who: Want meaningful, purpose-driven work Are willing to relocate to New Mexico Have no more than two children currently living at home Can model healthy behaviors, values, communication, and consistency Are willing to support youth from difficult or traumatic backgrounds Believe in continued personal growth, teamwork, and learning You do not need to be perfect, just caring, resilient, and committed. What Houseparent Couples Do Houseparents help create a safe, structured home environment while teaching practical life skills and healthy routines. Daily responsibilities may include: Mentoring and supervising youth Teaching life skills such as cooking, laundry, cleaning, budgeting, punctuality, and communication Preparing meals and maintaining household organization Supporting educational goals and routines Transporting youth to school, appointments, activities, and events Reinforcing positive behavior and healthy relationships Assisting with medications and minor illnesses/injuries Completing daily electronic documentation and reports Collaborating closely with treatment teams and staff Encouraging recreational activities, work ethic, and personal growth Minimum Requirements GED or High School Diploma Valid driver’s license Clean driving record Ability to pass a background check Self-motivated and dependable Why Families Choose This Role Many couples are looking for work that feels meaningful instead of repetitive.
