Sierra Motors is looking for the right experienced Heavy Line Technician. GM experience is a plus. However, dealership experience and/or aftermarket shops are an option. We will train if needed. Pay is from $30 an hour to $40.00 an hour depending on experience level. Full-time and great benefits for you and/or your family are available. Hurry this Job Won't last long Job Description: The Line Service Technician is also responsible for setting goals for personal service improvement, and monitor progress against customer satisfaction index numbers and production numbers as provided by the Service Manager Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or Factory standards Disassemble, diagnose and repair vehicle transmission Cleaning and inspection of all parts Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made Qualifications: Excellent problem-solving skills Motivated with a customer-focused attitude Experienced in electrical and engine work Looking to work in a flat-rate shop with great earning potential Able to drive with an acceptable driver abstract Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour Our vision is "To Be So Effective That We Are helpful to others" What We Offer 401(K) Savings plan Paid Holidays Paid Vacation and Personal Days Health, Dental and Vision insurance Uniforms provided with individual lockers Discounted Vehicle Purchases Highly productive shop Career advancement opportunities, promote from within Great learning environment for Technicians looking to grow their career ASE and state inspection certification reimbursement and all training expenses paid to further your career, including GM School Continued education, manufacturer hands on and web based training Clean and professional work environment Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates Flexible Hours (Possible 4 Day Work Week ) Responsibilities Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc. Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications Qualifications 2+ years of Service Technician experience required Certified General Motors Technician ASE Certification required B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent Excellent customer service skills Basic Computer skills Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality Enjoy working in a fast paced environment Team player Must have a valid driverโ€™s license Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
