Job Overview An opportunity has arisen for a Health Care Support Worker to join the team at Amman Valley Hospital, Ammanford. This is a 28 bedded unit focusing on rehabilitation of the elderly. The service is both GP and consultant led. Admission are accepted from the community and both general hospitals within Carmarthenshire. The team work alongside community, primary care and the acute sites to develop an integrated rehabilitation approach to promoting patient independence and best outcomes for discharge. Main duties of the job The candidate should be able to demonstrate some experience with working with the elderly and understand the principles of rehabilitation nursing. Full time or part time hours are available. The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post, however we welcome applications in English or Welsh. Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales.
