About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Superintendent to lead the health and safety function across the Finniss operation through restart and into steady-state operations. Reporting to the General Manager Operations, this role is responsible for safety across the processing plant, open pit mining, and developing underground operation. You will lead the site safety team, including Emergency Services Officers (ESO), Emergency Response Team capability, and a Safety Advisor, working closely with operational leaders to ensure a safe, compliant and high-performing workplace. While legacy safety systems are in place, this role will focus on reviewing, refining and strengthening existing frameworks and processes to support the evolving operation. This is a Darwin-based residential, permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday, with relocation assistance available for candidates considering a move to Darwin. Key Responsibilities Lead the health and safety function across the Finniss operation Support the restart through strong safety leadership and risk management Review and enhance existing safety systems, standards and procedures Ensure compliance with NT WHS legislation and mining regulations Provide leadership to site safety personnel and emergency response capability Partner with operational leaders to embed strong safety culture and behaviours Oversee safety performance, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives About You You are an experienced safety leader with strong operational exposure and the ability to influence across mining environments. You will bring: Experience in health and safety leadership within mining or heavy industry Exposure to open pit and/or underground operations (processing advantageous) Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and mining regulatory requirements Experience improving or implementing safety systems and risk management processes Experience leading incident investigations and root cause analysis, with exposure to methodologies such as ICAM (desirable) Ability to build credibility and partner with operational leaders Experience leading site safety teams and emergency response capability Relevant health and safety qualifications About Core Lithium Core Lithium is an ASX-listed resources company focused on the restart of the Finniss Operation near Darwin in the Northern Territory. With open pit mining at the Grants deposit targeted to recommence in May 2026, feeding the site’s existing lithium processing plant, and underground development at BP33 planned later in the year, the operation is entering an important new phase of production.
