Group HR Director Conglomerate Location: Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea Contract: 3-year (renewable) | Expat & local candidates welcome | Net salary + benefits Our client, a leading and fast-growing conglomerate in Papua New Guinea , is seeking a dynamic Group HR Director to provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple subsidiaries. This is a newly created role, reporting directly to the Group CEO with a dotted line to the Board. You will lead the Group HR team and partner closely with executive leadership to drive organisational growth, culture, and people capability. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the Group-wide people strategy aligned to business objectives. Oversee HR governance, compliance, risk management, and policy across 56 subsidiaries. Lead talent acquisition, mobility, and workforce planning across local and expatriate staff (>70% local workforce). Drive reward and benefits strategies, performance management, and leadership development. Manage industrial and employee relations (IR/ER) Champion organizational culture, employee engagement, diversity, and inclusion. Implement HR technology solutions and data-driven decision-making processes. Support community engagement, CSR initiatives, and employer brand reputation. Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in HR/IR, Business, Psychology, or related (postgraduate/MBA preferred). 1215+ years senior HR leadership experience, ideally in a conglomerate or multi-disciplinary environment. Proven success in OD, reward architecture, and IR/ER negotiations. Prior PNG exposure is preferred not a must Strong cross-cultural leadership and expatriate workforce management experience.
