About the role We’re seeking a safety-focused Geotechnical Engineer to provide operational geotechnical support in development and production. Reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting longhole stoping mining operations. You’ll design and implement ground support plans, conduct inspections, deliver expert geotechnical advice for mine designs all while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Roster: 8/6, 12 hours per day (Dayshift only) Location: Federation Mine, Nymagee NSW Travel options Residents enjoy a balanced roster and the opportunity to settle into the family-friendly township of Cobar. Relocation support is available, along with a residential allowance DIDO if you live within an 800km radius of the Mine site which includes a travel allowance FIFO from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne Qualifications and experience Bachelor of Engineering in Geotechnical or equivalent with minimum 2 years’ relevant experience Proficient in Deswik, CAD, RocScience, DIPS, UNWEDGE, FLAC3D, MAP3D, including modelling Able to work autonomously and make sound technical decisions supporting mining operations Strong technical writing skills and commitment to safety Positive, collaborative, and safety-driven work approach Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s License MAKE AN IMPACT, GET RECOGNISED – BE AN AURELIAN At Aurelia Metals, our people are at the heart of everything we do.
