Keep operations moving. **Must be willing to relocate to be able to or near Farmingdale, NY - relocation assistance available** About the Role We are looking for a focused, analytical, and highly driven General Manager to lead daily operations at our FAA Part 145 Repair Station. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, stays composed under pressure, and brings a direct, factual communication style to a team that depends on clarity and accuracy. You will oversee production, compliance, workflow structure, and team performance—balancing fast decision-making with the need for disciplined, systematic processes required in a regulated repair station. What You’ll Do Direct day-to-day shop operations with a strong emphasis on efficiency, structure, and timely execution . Manage project timelines, labor planning, scheduling, and resource allocation with a methodical, detail-driven approach . Lead and develop technicians and support staff through straightforward, clear expectations and hands-on performance management. Track and analyze core operational metrics including: Productivity (billable vs. paid hours) On-time delivery Rework / quality escape rate Safety and compliance performance Identify operational gaps quickly and respond with decisive action—especially in shifting priorities or unexpected challenges. Serve as the primary operational point of contact for customers, vendors, and internal teams, providing direct and factual communication. Maintain strict adherence to FAA Part 145 requirements while reinforcing a structured, predictable workflow environment. Support budgeting, cost control, and resource efficiency with strong attention to detail. Requirements Qualifications 5+ years of supervisory or management experience in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station or aviation MRO environment. Strong understanding of FAA regulatory compliance. Proven experience improving productivity, workflow, and operational performance. Direct, clear communicator with strong leadership and organizational abilities.
