About us We're building an AI-native law firm, currently in stealth. We've just closed our pre-seed round. We're designing the firm from the ground up so AI is the substrate it runs on—drafting, reviewing, redlining, marking up, all wired through agents instead of humans copy-pasting between tools. The role You'll be our founding CTO. You'll own the technical vision and build the platform that turns legal work into agents. You set the architecture, ship the first products, and grow the engineering team as we scale from pre-seed onward. What you'll do - Own the technical architecture end to end: agent orchestration, retrieval, drafting/review pipelines, and the infrastructure they run on. - Ship fast: build the first production systems yourself, then codify patterns into a platform the rest of the team builds on. - Partner with the legal-engineering team to encode playbooks, drafting modules, and review checklists into reusable software. - Hire and lead the founding engineering team; set technical standards, security, and data practices. - Make build-vs-buy calls and own the model/agent stack (LLMs, MCPs, evals). Who you are - 6+ years building production software, with senior/lead or founding-engineer experience. - Hands-on with LLMs and agentic systems (Claude, MCPs, agents, retrieval, evals). - Strong systems and product instincts; bias to action; comfortable owning ambiguity in a founding-team environment. - Track record of shipping and scaling, ideally 0-to-1. - Working proficiency in English; French a plus, Dutch a plus. Logistics - Office: Brussels or Paris (hybrid considered, in-person strongly preferred). - Relocation: support available for EU/EEA residents. - Full-time.
