This critical leadership position upholds a safety-first culture , emphasizes continuous improvement , and models servant leadership to cultivate an engaged, motivated workforce. This position is based in Ripon, Wisconsin and operates on 2nd shift (Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM–1:00 AM) with occasional overtime on Fridays from 1:00 PM–9:00 PM . Key Responsibilities Safety & Compliance Leadership Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.). Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving safety standards and regulations. Implement and enforce company safety policies and proper use of PPE (gloves, eye protection, etc.). Promote ergonomic best practices to reduce strain and injury. Encourage employees to report safety concerns and conduct regular safety audits of work areas and equipment. Servant Leadership & Team Engagement Lead with a servant leadership mindset by coaching, mentoring, and empowering team members. Promote respectful treatment and inclusivity in all discussions and decisions. Build a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous learning. Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues and partner with union stewards when necessary. Production Oversight Oversee daily operations within assigned zone to ensure safe, efficient, and on-schedule production. Monitor team and workflow to meet aggressive production and quality goals. Collaborate with technical staff to ensure equipment reliability and process optimization. Continuously seek opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and minimize inventory levels. Continuous Improvement Foster a continuous improvement culture using Lean, Kaizen, and 6S principles. Empower team members to identify and implement process enhancements. Establish annual goals that align with operational metrics and organizational objectives. Training & Development Ensure all employees are trained in safety, equipment operation, and quality standards. Encourage cross-training to strengthen team flexibility and capability. Lead by example to model discipline, safety, and operational excellence. Qualifications Knowledge / Experience / Education Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations (preferred). Proven track record of servant leadership and team development. Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment (preferred). Prior supervisory experience in manufacturing strongly preferred. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing , Kaizen , Kanban , and process control principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Skills & Abilities Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills. Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Ability to foster collaboration and accountability within the team. Must-Have Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations (preferred). Proven servant leadership approach to managing teams. 1–3 years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Supervisory experience within a manufacturing setting. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong ability to mentor, develop, and motivate employees in a production environment.
