Electronics Technician - Defence

A great opportunity for a Electronics Technician to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Puckapunyal. This is not your typical assembly line Electronics Technician role. This unique position allows you to step away from the work bench and step into the field completing fault tracing and part replacement on Defence weapons and vehicles. Within this role you will gain experience working on control systems which only working with the Defence can offer. Benefits Minimum of $45.42 an hour plus super (dependent on qualifications) Work 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 12 pm on Fridays Training & Upskilling provided Relocation assistance for the right candidate Work on unique Defence vehicle and assets 17.5% Annual Leave Loading All tools, PPE and Uniforms provided On-site Parking About the role Performing system checks on weapons & vehicles, communications, combat management systems and sensor equipment to ensure equipment is in full working order Effectively diagnose electronic faults and fix to ensure operations are running smoothly You will adhere to all regulatory and contract specific requirements You'll gain exposure to many different systems and machinery. These include RADAR systems and display, Surveillance and Control Equipment & Satellite equipment (GPS, SATCOM) About you Cert III Electronics or Cert III Electronic Technology Knowledge and practical experience on complex communication and/or electronic systems maintenance, support, design, or installation Exhibit strong mechanical and electronic/electrical aptitude You must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance About Ventia As a leading services provider, we maintain, operate, and manage the essential infrastructure that makes modern life possible across Australia and New Zealand.
