Job Description Position: Director of Perioperative Services Compensation: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 USD Signing Bonus: Negotiable Relocation Package: Partial Position Summary: As the Director of Perioperative Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of optimum quality patient care. Serving as a reference and resource person for staff, patients, and families, you will coordinate patient care across various departments. With 24-hour responsibility for unit activities, you will evaluate staff and unit performance to enhance overall effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: Assess units, patients, and staff to ensure high-quality care. Coordinate patient care with other departments for seamless collaboration. Assume 24-hour responsibility for unit activities, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. Plan for meeting the diverse needs of patients, staff, physicians, and the hospital. Perform prompt management duties for units under supervision. Initiate self-development mechanisms for continuous professional growth. Deliver direct patient care appropriate to the age of the patient served. Reporting to: VP/Chief Nursing Officer Requirements Minimum Education: Graduate from a School of Nursing/College Education Program. BSN or advanced education preferred. Required Skills: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to thrive in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 30 days. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) to be obtained within 6 months. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be obtained within 6 months. Required Licenses: Current licensure by the [West Virginia, United States] State Board of Nursing.
