We are looking for a Director of MLL Language learning for an international school based in Chongqing. This position is available from the upcoming 2026-27 academic year starting in August 2026. Director of MLL The Director of MLL supports language acquisition across both Elementary and Secondary divisions. This role leads school-wide MLL alignment and oversees the planning, launch, and ongoing development of the Academic Bridge Year program for students developing English proficiency. The Director works closely with divisional leaders, teachers, and support staff to ensure effective student placement, curriculum support, data tracking, communication, and program improvement. Lead the development and implementation of the Academic Bridge Year program, including structure, goals, curriculum alignment, and student support. Coordinate program planning, staffing, scheduling, student identification, curriculum development, communication, and evaluation. Serve as the key link between MLL teachers, divisional leaders, and support staff to ensure clear communication and consistent support for students. Monitor student progress, review assessment data, and adjust groupings, strategies, and support as needed. Oversee student placement, proficiency assessments, records, and program documentation. Coordinate with academic departments to align language support with core coursework. Support staffing, classroom readiness, curriculum resources, instructional materials, and technology needs. Communicate clearly with staff, families, and school leadership regarding program updates and student progress. Organize professional learning for MLL specialists and content-area teachers. Track program data, budget, attendance, engagement, and outcomes, providing regular updates to leadership. Lead program review and use feedback from students, families, and staff to improve future implementation.
