Director β Network & Unified Communications Location: Melbourne, Florida (Onsite β Full-Time) Schedule: 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off) Relocation Assistance available Overview We are seeking a seasoned Director of Network & Unified Communications to lead the strategy, delivery, and operational excellence of enterprise-wide connectivity and collaboration platforms. This leadership role will oversee a global network ecosystem, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security across networking and communication technologies. This is a fully onsite position based in Melbourne, FL. With a strong focus on innovation and mission-critical systems, the company supports government and commercial customers worldwide in highly secure and regulated environments. Key Responsibilities Define and execute enterprise strategy for networking and unified communications aligned with business objectives Lead modernization initiatives including: SD-WAN and network segmentation Zero Trust architecture Wireless infrastructure redesign VoIP and unified communications transformation Oversee global network operations across LAN/WAN, telecom, and cloud connectivity environments Drive improvements in reliability, scalability, performance, and security Implement proactive monitoring, automation, and observability to enhance service delivery Lead end-to-end service management (incident, problem, change, capacity) Own unified communications strategy including: Voice, VoIP, and telephony systems Video conferencing and collaboration tools Contact center and UCaaS platforms Manage vendor relationships, MSPs, and technology partners to ensure SLA adherence Build, lead, and mentor high-performing global engineering and operations teams Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enforce compliance with Zero Trust and regulatory standards Ensure proper documentation, governance, and audit readiness Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Extensive experience in enterprise networking environments (LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VPN, Wi-Fi, DNS/DHCP/IPAM) Strong expertise in unified communications technologies (VoIP, SIP, telephony, conferencing platforms) Proven experience leading large-scale network transformation and modernization initiatives Experience working in highly regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, defense, government, etc.) Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and external partners Preferred Skills Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and secure network design Background in global telecom modernization programs Relevant certifications such as: CCNP / CCIE JNCIP / JNCIE ITIL, PMP, or equivalent Strong business acumen with ability to align technical solutions to business outcomes Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills Additional Details Work Model: 100% onsite (no remote option) Travel: Occasional Relocation Assistance: Available Employment Type: Full-time
