Cost Estimator (Junior to Lead Level)

About the role

As a Cost Estimator at N-Sea, you play a key role in the commercial success of our projects. You develop cost estimates, cash flow forecasts, and pricing strategies for tenders, and support cost control during project execution.

We are hiring multiple estimators across experience levels. Depending on your seniority, you will either support or take ownership of the full estimating and pricing process, contributing to project outcomes and the continuous improvement of our estimating approach.

What you’ll do

• Prepare or support cost estimates based on Scope of Work and Work Breakdown Structure
• Develop cost price calculations, including risk identification and risk budgeting
• Build cash flow forecasts to support cost and pricing reviews
• Coordinate input from engineering, operations, and other internal stakeholders
• Manage RFQs and evaluate supplier and subcontractor proposals
• Produce cost reports for tender and sales reviews
• Highlight risks, challenge assumptions, and advise on mitigation
• Contribute to improving cost databases and estimating methods

At more senior level:

• Take ownership of cost estimates, including cost price calculations and pricing towards clients
• Prepare and present different cost views and estimate variations to support decision-making and risk budgeting
• Interface with Project Managers and Project Controllers after contract award to set up cost control and reporting
• Support and coach junior estimators within the team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering or Technical Business Administration
• Experience in cost estimating, project support, or similar (level dependent)
• Affinity with offshore, maritime, or energy sector
• Strong Excel skills; willingness to work with estimating tools
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
