Customer Services Package Refurbishment and Upgrades (PRU) Engineering provides engineered solutions in support customer-specific aftermarket business opportunities. The Controls Engineer Responsible for the design of turbine and driven equipment control system upgrades to existing fielded equipment for specific customer sales orders as part of a multi-disciplined project execution team. Projects range from replacing the entire control system to modifying existing control systems to add or delete functionality based on customer requirements. Initial focus on the manufacturing role to become acquainted with the PRU sales order project process and controls tools and then transition to include controls design responsibilities. Deliverables - Bill of Material, Panel and Box Layout manufacturing drawings, Electrical schematic, Interconnect wiring schedule, Controller and display (HMI) software Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant degree 1-3 years of experience in PLC programming or turbomachinery commissioning. Fluent in English, both verbal and written Detailed knowledge of the design, manufacturing, and operation of turbo-machinery products Able to interpret industry standard drawings including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) Self starter, willing to work as required to support project schedules, and be able to perform the position functions with minimal supervision and guidance, as well as part of a team Preferred Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience involving controls, electrical and mechanical systems Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain liaison with engineering and manufacturing groups, as well as project management and customers Multi-tasking skills balanced with the ability to pay attention to detail A sense of urgency and organizational skills to work with multiple projects and competing priorities.
