Employment Opportunity :: Controls Technician III Department: Electrical Maintenance Employment Status: Fulltime Salary: CI$4,562 to CI$5,930 | USD$5,463 to USD$7,101 per month (no income tax) Work Environment: Plant Area Corporate – Workspace is primarily in the Administrative Building In Field – Workspace is primarily Off Site at various locations around the island Plant Area- Workspace is primarily in the Power Plant Area Hybrid – Workspace is a combination of in the Administrative Building and in the Field or in the Plant Area Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for: Coordinating and participating in the work of a group of employees involved in the engineering and maintenance, troubleshooting and service of a power plant electrical maintenance program. Troubleshooting problems with Plant and substations Control Systems, including PLCs, RTUs, and System Computer hardware and software. Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and safety policies. Assisting with design, estimate, and install upgrades to existing and new control systems. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Applicants should possess: Graduate of Electrical Technician Program or Certified as a Instrumentation Technician or equivalent A minimum of three (3) years related experience electrical equipment repair and maintenance work. Key Competencies: Must possess a high level of written and verbal communication skills. The ability to listen well and give clear instructions. Applies practical and technical knowledge to complex maintenance issues and solves problems. Stays current with electric utility industry standards and changes and demonstrates that knowledge by recommending and assisting with the implementing approved changes.
