Commissioning Manager – Data Center Construction (Owners Representative)

💰 Up to $220K Base Salary + Per Diem

We are representing a national Owners Representative seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to support a large-scale, mission-critical data center project in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (Superintendent experience also considered)
7+ years of construction or commissioning experience, including 5+ years in data centers or other mission-critical facilities
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, controls integration, and commissioning standards (ASHRAE etc.)
Experience with commissioning software such as CxAlloy, Bluebeam, and Procore
Strong communication and coordination skills

Responsibilities

Oversee the full commissioning lifecycle for hyperscale data center projects
Coordinate with General Contractor teams, commissioning agents, subcontractors, engineers, and vendors
Manage commissioning plans, schedules, testing, startup activities, and project turnover documentation
Lead FATs, SATs, and IST
Track RFIs, deficiencies, action items, and commissioning KPIs
Conduct regular site walks to verify commissioning readiness and quality standards
Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards
