Cross River Rail Delivery Authority (CRRDA)…Your chance to work with the best!
The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is building a new 10.2km rail line that includes 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD; with four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street.
Once complete, it will provide trains with a much-needed alternative rail path through the core of the current SEQ Rail network, unlocking a bottleneck and allowing more trains to run more often across the whole of South East Queensland.
The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is also delivering multiple supporting projects and activities in conjunction with the Department of Transport and Main Roads. These include accessibility rebuilds for eight surface stations, construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast; upgrades for stabling yards; track works and surface rail enhancements; and the introduction of a new ETCS digital signalling system.
About the Opportunities:
We are recruiting multiple Commercial Manager roles across the Cross River Rail program, supporting delivery within major alliances, contract environments and program level integration activities.
These opportunities span three core areas:
- Alliance roles embedded within major delivery teams, supporting commercial strategy, contract performance, governance and stakeholder alignment within a collaborative delivery model
- Delivery roles aligned to specific contracts, focusing on contract administration, commercial outcomes, risk, change management and dispute resolution across major infrastructure works
- Integration roles operating at a program level, addressing commercial issues that arise across contract interfaces, coordinating multi-party outcomes and supporting the delivery of a single, integrated railway
Across all roles, you will work at the centre of a complex infrastructure program, partnering with delivery, engineering, legal and commercial teams to resolve issues, manage performance and support critical commercial decisions.
All positions are offered on fixed term contracts aligned to key delivery milestones. Cross River Rail is scheduled for Day 1 passenger services in early 2029, creating a strong forward pipeline of work and the opportunity for sustained involvement across the remaining phases of delivery.
Brisbane based working is required for all roles, with relocation assistance available for suitable interstate candidates. Brisbane has excellent future employment prospects with a strong pipeline of rail projects planned and other major infrastructure investments leading into the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
What You’ll Be Owning:
- Develop and manage commercial strategy and contract positions across alliance, delivery and integration environments
- Lead or support complex commercial negotiations, dispute resolution and issue management
- Provide clear commercial advice, analysis and recommendations to support senior decision making and governance
- Manage risk, change and performance matters, ensuring commercial impacts are understood and addressed
- Oversee the quality and alignment of commercial correspondence, notices and key documentation
- Work across delivery, engineering, legal and program controls to resolve complex, multi stakeholder issues
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, partners and senior stakeholders across the program
About You:
- Senior experience in commercial, contracts or legal roles within major infrastructure or complex delivery environments

- Strong commercial judgement with the ability to develop and articulate clear, defensible commercial positions across a range of issues
- Proven capability in negotiation, contract management, risk mitigation and issue resolution
- Highly developed written communication skills, including preparation of commercial correspondence, reports and executive briefings
- Ability to build credibility and influence across senior stakeholders, working collaboratively with commercial, delivery, engineering, legal and program controls teams in complex multi-party delivery environments
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in law, engineering, quantity surveying, business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
Why work with CRRDA?

Beyond Cross River Rail, Queensland has a strong and sustained infrastructure pipeline, with continued investment in rail and transport projects and broader major infrastructure leading into the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This creates a longer-term career pathway for experienced commercial professionals beyond a single project.
