The Team Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) is Tasmania’s largest hospital, and the Department of Medical Imaging provides diagnostic imaging services to all of Southern Tasmania. The Role The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) Medical Imaging provides advanced clinical leadership, expert nursing consultancy, and service development within the medical imaging department. The role ensures the delivery of safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred care across all imaging modalities by applying specialised clinical knowledge, evidence‑based practice, and advanced decision‑making skills. You will need: Advanced ability to initiate, guide and motivate a multidisciplinary team in the development, implementation and evaluation of quality improvement, evidenced based practice, research, clinical risk mitigation and service innovation. Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills and proven ability to educate, influence and be credible to a range of health professionals and consumers. Comprehensive knowledge of the legal, ethical and safety requirements, relevant policies and procedures in the area of imaging services, with a demonstrated awareness of professional issues which impact on service delivery. Details of appointment Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. Salary $118,297 to $125,543 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
