This role ensures continuity and high-quality pediatric nutrition services in both hospital and outpatient settings. Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) credential is highly preferred or willingness to pursue after hire. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive pediatric nutrition assessments Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans Provide patient and caregiver education Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams Monitor medical nutrition therapy and verify diet/formula orders Document care and support accurate billing in the EMR Support both inpatient and outpatient clinic services Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in nutrition or related field from an ACEND-accredited program Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through CDR Texas state licensure (or within 90 days of hire) Food Safety and BLS certifications (or within 90 days of hire) Valid driver’s license Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish Specialty certification (CDCES) Pediatric specialty experience
