What You Will Do This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Physician to a join team supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network. Collaborate with a dedicated, multidisciplinary team supported by 24/7 nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, and Education Specialists Enjoy a balanced inpatient schedule with a 7-on/7-off rotation (7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.) Provide care on a 17-bed inpatient behavioral health unit serving adolescents (ages 5–18), with an average daily census of 11 patients and typical length of stay of 5–7 days, focused on acute crisis stabilization for conditions including suicidal/homicidal ideation, psychosis, and other safety concerns Serving a surrounding population of 230,000 Employed position within a nonprofit health system Board Certified or Board Eligible Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration Evaluate and treat patients using appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic skills while ensuring accurate, timely documentation that meets payer requirements and supports appeals for denied services. Accept and manage inpatient referrals, serving as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician as needed, while actively contributing to initiatives that enhance quality of care and cost-effectiveness.
