Chief Engineer - Systems, Power and V&V

Take technical ownership of systems architecture and power integration for a pioneering electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. This onsite leadership role in Japan enables you to drive safety critical engineering from initial design through to international certification.

Essential requirements

• 9+ years of experience in aerospace systems and power development.
• 3+ years of experience in a dedicated engineering leadership or management role.
• Direct experience working to core aerospace standards including DO160, ARP4754A, DO178, DO254

The work

• Supervise the definition and integration of flight control, avionics and electrical power systems.
• Establish robust system architectures to meet safety, reliability and performance requirements.
• Direct all verification and validation activities in accordance with global aerospace standards.
• Coordinate with international certification authorities to support comprehensive safety assessments.

Skills and background

• Proficient in model-based systems engineering processes and SysML.
• Knowledge of high-voltage power distribution and energy storage systems.
• Strong background in aerospace safety analysis and certification.
• Familiarity with hardware and software integration in Agile environments.
