We are hiring a Chief Marketing Officer to lead the global marketing function end to end. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CMO will define the brand, growth, and player-experience strategy across our multi-brand portfolio, while building the organisation, systems, and capabilities required to scale. The initial focus will be accelerating growth across Africa, with the goal of securing a podium position across approximately 20 regulated markets, while also laying the foundation for expansion into adjacent global dot-com and regulated markets over the next 24–36 months. This is a build role. You will inherit an active business with multiple live campaigns and be expected to professionalise marketing operations, implement the data and AI infrastructure needed to run growth as a measurable system, and improve commercial performance across acquisition, activation, retention, and LTV. YOUR IMPACT Brand and positioning across the multi-brand portfolio; resolve brand-architecture decisions market by market. Performance and growth marketing across all paid and owned channels: TV, digital, programmatic, affiliates, influencer, SMS, push, email, on-the-ground/BTL, and sponsorships. CRM and player lifecycle: onboarding, bonusing strategy, segmentation, reactivation, VIP, churn, and responsible-play interventions. Marketing analytics and MarTech stack: attribution, marketing mix modelling, experimentation, customer data platform, BI, and AI-driven personalisation and creative tooling. Country marketing leadership in partnership with local GMs across African markets, with a shared P&L view on customer acquisition cost, payback, lifetime value, and marketing-driven commercial performance. Global expansion marketing: market-entry playbooks, licensing-aligned launch plans, and brand localisation for new geographies. Marketing operations and infrastructure: professionalise the marketing function and install the data and AI infrastructure needed to run growth as a measurable system. Team: hire, structure, and lead a global marketing organisation spanning brand, performance, CRM, content, creative, analytics, and country marketing. Budget ownership and quarterly reporting to the CEO and board on marketing-driven commercial outcomes, with a focus on optimising marketing spend, driving high-quality traffic, and improving conversion, retention, and lifetime value. OUR REQUIREMENTS 10+ years of full-stack marketing experience covering brand, performance, CRM/lifecycle, content, and analytics, with proven results across both digital and offline channels. 5+ years in senior marketing leadership roles such as VP Marketing, CMO, Head of Growth, or equivalent, with direct ownership of multi-million-dollar budgets and multi-country teams. Strong data-driven operating model: comfortable defining the KPI tree, instrumenting it, and running marketing as a measurable system across Return on Ad Spend, Cost Per Acquisition, Lifetime Value, payback, cohort retention, and VIP parameters. Fluency in AI applied to growth and player experience: practical experience deploying AI/ML for personalisation, creative production, segmentation, churn prediction, bonus optimisation, or CX automation. You should have a clear point of view on where AI moves the needle in a betting business and where it does not. Experience leading distributed, cross-cultural teams across multiple markets and time zones. Willing and able to be based in Cyprus. Fluent English. Hebrew, French, Portuguese, and other languages are a bonus. OUR PREFERENCES Real-money gambling background across sports betting, casino, poker, lottery, or fantasy, either at an operator or major affiliate. Adjacent industries will also be considered, including fintech, especially consumer credit/wallets in emerging markets, trading/CFDs, gaming, dating, or other high-frequency, high-LTV consumer apps with strict compliance overlays. Prior operating experience in Africa or other emerging markets, including the realities of mobile money, low-bandwidth UX, USSD/SMS funnels, and local regulatory environments. Multi-brand portfolio experience and a clear view on master-brand vs. house-of-brands trade-offs. Track record of taking a brand or product into new geographies from scratch. Working knowledge of global licensing regimes such as Anjouan, UKGC, or LatAm is a plus. HOW YOU OPERATE Commercially focused: you move fast on commercial outcomes, not vanity metrics.
