Norfolk Residential Children’s Homes provide emergency and time-limited, specialist care for young people (male and female) aged between 8 - 18 years, when either family, foster care, mainstream residential or other community-based placements are not possible or desirable at the time. We have an exciting opportunity for creative and motivated managers, to ensure the young people in the home reach their full potential. As the Assistant Team Manager, you will be expected to support the staff team, providing residential care in accordance with legislation, departmental policies and procedures and county priorities, including registering as a manager with Ofsted. You will provide effective management and leadership to the team, ensuring that appropriate consultation and advice is given, enabling services to be provided to the department’s high standards. Ideally you will have a background in residential care or be experienced in working with children and have significant post qualification experience related to the role. You will be required to have qualifications to support you in this role and you will be expected to undertake the requirements set out in the Children’s Home Regulations.
