The Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) is a leading applied technology research organization that advances innovation through interdisciplinary research and industry collaboration.
We are expanding our Artificial Intelligence research initiatives and seeking talented researchers who are passionate about developing and applying advanced AI technologies to real-world challenges.
This role is based in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
We are open to international candidates and offer relocation assistance, including work permit application.
Role Overview
In this role, you will contribute to high-impact AI research projects, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and help transform advanced AI concepts into practical applications.
Key Areas of Expertise
We welcome candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
AI Agent
• Strong interest in the implementation and application of AI agents
• Familiarity with Harness Engineering, including Memory, Skills, and Model Context Protocol (MCP)
Physics-Informed Machine Learning
• Experience with Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINN), Neural Operators, Diffusion Models, or Flow Matching
AI Core Technology
• Knowledge of Reinforcement Learning, Transfer Learning, Diffusion Models, and Optimization
• Experience implementing Multimodal LLMs, VLMs, or Time Series Foundation Models
• Experience in data processing, synthesis, evaluation, and dataset curation
Coding & Implementation
• Proficiency in Python and PyTorch
• Familiarity with Hugging Face tools, vLLM, LangChain, or LlamaIndex
• Interest or experience in Vibe Coding
