We're fonio.ai. A Vienna-based startup building AI phone assistants that sound like a real person and can handle calls end-to-end. In the DACH region, 7,500+ small and medium enterprises already trust fonio every day. In just over 1.5 years, we have grown to become the market leader. We're currently adding ~€150k–200k ARR per week. We're expanding our Account Executive team and looking for hands-on closers to help drive our growth in the UK. Your role You're a core part of our UK sales motion. You own the full sales cycle: from discovery and demo through to close. You'll work mostly with inbound leads (currently 8–12 demos per AE per day in DACH), supported by a growing SDR motion, marketing engine, and proven playbook from the DACH market. You won't be building from scratch – we already have product-market fit and a repeatable motion. You'll join the UK go-to-market team, hit the ground running, and help us scale to market leadership. What you'll do Own the full sales cycle: discovery, demo, negotiation, close Run 8–15 demos per day with qualified inbound and SDR-generated leads Translate customer needs into clear value propositions for UK SMEs Drive opportunities to close: handle objections, navigate pricing, build urgency Capture customer learnings and feed them back into product, marketing, and sales enablement Collaborate with SDRs, Marketing, and Customer Success to continuously improve the funnel What we're looking for Native or fluent English 2+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience as an AE (or similar closing role) Strong track record of consistently hitting or exceeding quota Comfort with high-velocity, transactional SMB sales (short cycles, high volume) Ownership mentality, drive, and clear communication Curiosity for AI / voice tech and our product Understanding of the UK SME landscape is a must What we offer 2 months onboarding on-site in Vienna, then relocation to London — we're building our UK office there and you'll be part of the team on the ground.
